Inspiration comes in many forms!
This week I had the pleasure of enjoying some fellow bloggers poetry and art. It was inspirational.
Now, I’m not a writer or a poet. I didn’t even like English class and don’t do well with grammar. However, the idea came to me to try to put some words down with regard to color in the form of poetry. Color does “move” me so I figure that’s a good place to start. I’m not sure it’s real poetry but that’s what I’m calling it.
For remaining 11 weeks I’m taking a risk and going for a personal and spiritual approach to this topic with a possible “snip it” of fact at the end. That just seems more fun!
color my world
and rest my soul
nature of my heart
vibrant, fleeting thought
settle deep among
soil of my being
love me, hold me
set my face upon the golden sun
Did you know?
Aristotle was one of the earliest people to present idea’s on color theory. He made a connection tying four colors to the elements of earth, fire, water and air. He was inspirational in contributing to man’s understanding of light, form and color.
There’s an interesting article here that goes into more detail: http://www.webexhibits.org/causesofcolor/1B.html
